With increasing demand of grape consumption whereby year 2016, the global consumption of fresh table grapes was estimated at 20.9 million tons, up from about 15.6 tons in 2009/2010. The idea of growing grapes in your orchard could be ideal.

An acre can hold 450 grapevines. One grapevine can produce between 20kg to 30 kg in one year. A punnet of grapes costs Ksh 600 to Ksh 1000 per kg in super markets. We advise that farmers should plant grapes with other tree crops such as mulberry or guava fruit trees to offer the grape vines support as they grow.

This means an acre can produce 9 tons on the minimum side annually and one can earn Ksh 1,800,000 when he / she sells the punnet at farm gate price of Ksh 200/-.

Kenya is considered one of the best places in the globe to grow grapes because of the cool climates. The warm days, cool nights, volcanic soils as well as moderate rainfall in most parts of the country provide the optimum conditions to grow quality grapes.

Most grapes in Kenya are produced in Meru, Naivasha, Mandera, Kibwezi and Mombasa.

This is how we do it:
-A client interested in our fruit tree package contact our regional reps, most of our clients seek first that our Agronomist visit their farms.
Our Agronomist visit for these reasons.
--> Assess whether the project will be a success.
--> For soil analysis.
--> For planning purposes
--> Advice on any matter concerning the project.

What is required from the farmer?
--> Clearing of the farm for any weeds and bushes.
--> Paying the agreed amount on time.

Additional Cost to the farmer.
--> Transport cost; Ksh 20 per Km from either Nairobi, Nyeri, Nakuru, Eldoret town whichever is convenient.
--> Farm preparation.
--> Field visits by our agronomist.
--> Irrigation and its system.
--> Management of the farm

Payment terms:
-All payment should be done to the company account provided.
-Payment before commencement of the project - 80% of the package + Transport
- 20% to be paid on material day of planting.
-Late payment there will be penalty.
