The trees can be inter-cropped with other cash crops such as coffee and food crops such as cabbages.
Intercropping is beneficial in that it promotes the soil fertility, provides an extra source of income and food to the farmer, weeds suppression, reduced fertilizer use and reduced susceptibility to pests and diseases.
